Real life Sam CoupƩ photos are very hard to find, as the machine sold in very low numbers. Also, at the time (around 1990) it was very uncommon to have a camera present at all times. However, I managed to take a couple of pics of my own Sam CoupƩ using an old SLR camera, use one of them to create a christmas card for my Speccy and Sam CoupƩ friends, and keep all of this in a box for about 40 years.
I took the christmas photo by putting my Sam CoupƩ in between a couple of games I owned, a Competition Pro 5000 joystick and some tinsel. At a local photo shop they printed multilingual christmas cards using the negative.

The other photos were taken in my bedroom and also featured an Amiga 500 and a Philips CM8833 monitor, alongside Competition Pro 5000 (Happ Controls) and The Arcade (SUZO) joystick. On the screen a couple of sprite designs are visible. I was creating them on the Sam CoupƩ for a new game. The game was never released, but I was very proud of my three-headed dragon.

The beers that are scattered around (of Hertog Jan brand) were my idea of being “cool” and were placed there specifically for the bedroom photo.
